Ashlee Keating’s Holiday Harmony

In the realm of pop allure, Ashlee Keating stands as a luminary, captivating audiences with her infectious beats and empowering anthems. From her latest holiday single, “In The Air,” to the Pride Month sensation, “Saucy,” Ashlee’s musical journey is an electric symphony of talent and charisma.

Fresh from her performances at the Dunkin Donuts Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Atlanta Pride iHeart Power 96.1 Concert, Ashlee Keating is more than a singer; she’s a force of celebration and self-love. We had the privilege of delving into the world of this multifaceted artist, exploring the stories behind her chart-topping hits, her impact on the LGBTQ+ community, and the glamorous life that surrounds her.

Your new holiday single, “In The Air,” is a festive delight. What inspired you to create an original holiday song, and how does it feel to spread joy through your music?

Thank you! I wanted to create a song that was a universal holiday song that expresses the feeling of the holiday season that is in the air. It’s all about the festive feelings of the season and the joy and happiness of being around your friends and family during the holidays.

From the Dunkin Donuts Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade to the Atlanta Pride iHeart Power 96.1 Concert, you’ve been on a whirlwind journey. How do these diverse performances shape your artistic expression?

It’s been amazing and a whirlwind. I’m enjoying every moment and am super grateful for these experiences. Every time I’m in a different city or state, it gives me a taste of different cultures and the vibe of a place, which inspires me and sparks my creativity as an artist.

In 2022, you reimagined ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.’ What motivated you to put your unique twist on this holiday classic, and how do you approach adding your personal touch to iconic songs?

I always grew up listening to this classic Christmas song, so I decided I wanted to put my own twist on it to be Christmas in the club – putting my own fun, dance-pop vibe to it!

Your hit single ‘Saucy’ became an anthem for female empowerment and the LGBTQ+ community. How does it feel to see your music resonate so deeply, and what messages do you hope to convey through your art?

It means the absolute world to me and I always hope to express as much love and positivity as possible. Allowing my art to resonate with people is the most rewarding feeling. Saucy is a self-confidence anthem and is meant to make you feel like you can be your most authentic self (and a baddie).

As a Billboard-charting sensation, you’ve achieved remarkable success. How do you balance maintaining authenticity in your music and meeting the industry’s expectations?

I try not to think about it too hard, I focus on doing me…recording and writing a bunch of music. That’s all I can do! Sometimes I use the outside noise to fuel my creativity in my songwriting.

Your journey from Broadway to the Billboard charts is fascinating. How have your early experiences, such as starring in ‘The Sound of Music’ and ‘Annie,’ shaped your identity as an artist today?

These live performances at a young age shaped me and trained me to be able to dance and sing on stage and connect with the audience in a certain way through every experience I’ve had!

Your commitment to philanthropy, supporting women’s empowerment, and the LGBTQ+ community is admirable. How do you use your platform to effect positive change, and which causes are particularly close to your heart?

I aim to do this in my music, social media platforms and as much as possible when performing live. I use my platforms as much as possible to spread love and positive messages to the world. I’ve worked with foundations such as GLAAD, Starlight Children’s Foundation, St. Jude, and HollyRod Foundation.

From attending the iHeartRadio Festival in Vegas to leading a dance master class in LA, your schedule is dynamic. How do these experiences contribute to your growth as an artist, and what challenges do you face in the limelight?

It’s been incredible and I love what I do. Having these dynamic experiences continues to help me grow and always sparks new creative parts within myself—a challenge I face with haters and negative comments on social media. I try to rise above that and don’t pay too much attention to the negativity.

Fashion, fitness, and philanthropy—your interests are as diverse as your musical repertoire. How do these aspects of your life influence and complement each other?

They are all part of my brand and daily lifestyle and interconnected in my creative journey.

Looking ahead, what can your fans anticipate from Ashlee Keating in the coming year, both musically and personally? Are there any exciting projects on the horizon?

New music is definitely on the horizon and hopefully getting out and touring! Stay tuned 😉
