RETREAT asks Napoleon Perdis how to achieve the perfect bronze look.

“Bronzed is always better!” – Napoleon Perdis.

  1. Give your foundation a bronzed finish by mixing a small amount of Light Switch Luminizer Palette Bronze in with your favourite foundation. Apply using Complexion Perfection Brush 17s in a buffing motion for a flawless finish.

  1. For a subtle bronze, always use a matte product or a powder foundation that is 1-2 shades deeper than your skin tone. Try using Camera Finish Powder Foundation G5 Warm Sand over the cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin using Mega Powder Brush 50r.

  1. For a quick and easy application, use a larger brush to apply and blend the product in one go. Smaller brushes create harsh unnatural lines that will only draw unwanted attention.

  1. For a sultry, sun-kissed look with a subtle radiance, try blending a luminous bronzer such as Bronze Patrol over the feature focus area of the face (the centre triangle of features; eyes nose and chin) using Finishing Powder Brush s25.

  1. After dark, style up your eyes with Loose Dust Copper Element. Work this universal bronze hue over the mobile lid, through the socket and below the lower lash line using Sculpting Brush 10r for easy application.

  1. Add warmth to the face by applying a light bouncing shimmer to the tops of cheekbones and the apples of the cheeks. For a soft and fused finish, use Reflective Contour Brush 20b to lightly sweep Loose Eye Dust Star Light, Golden Peach or Copper Element over the skin.
