A graduate in Broadcast Journalism from The University of Utah, Courtney’s journey from journalist to influencer has been marked by an unwavering commitment to her passions. Whether she’s curating stylish activewear collections, sharing glimpses of her family life with husband Jake, 3-year-old son Hudson, and furry friends Lulu and Billie, or advocating for meaningful philanthropic causes, Courtney Cahoon is a force to be reckoned with in the ever-evolving landscape of social media influencers.

Your activewear line with ACTA sold out within the first hour! Can you share the inspiration behind the designs and how your personal style influenced the collection?

I really wanted the collection to be functional yet show my own personality through them. That’s why decided on two sets with very different styles. I am very much a pink girl and love to wear colour and fun designs, which is why I made one set all pink with a fun double strap that separated in the back to give it a fun and unique design. However, I love a good neutral soft moment as well and that is why the other set was a nice white off-white cream colour with ribbing all throughout to give it a soft texture. It was very important to me both sets were not seen through and would make people feel confident no matter their body type. We did a lot of sampling to get it just right and I think the outcome was perfect.

Juggling fitness, family, and a thriving social media career can be demanding. How do you maintain balance and keep a positive mindset amidst your busy schedule?

Honestly, I have the most amazing support system that helps me to be able to accomplish it all and find balance. I have an amazing husband who always supports me, and my mom is always willing to help in any way she can. I also have a fantastic team of management that helps me stay organized and on schedule. I think all these things combined have made it possible for me to find balance in my day-to-day life and still take time for my family and myself. I’m very grateful for them all.

Your family often features in your content. How do you integrate health and wellness into your family routine, and what advice do you have for other parents looking to prioritize fitness within their households?

I think the best thing you can do is start by integrating health and fitness into their own lives and day-to-day choices. I find that my little boy wants to do whatever I am doing so if I am getting a workout in at home, he always wants to join in any way he can. I think that’s one of the best ways to get the whole family involved, by letting your kids see what you’re doing.

We hear you enjoy flipping through novels. Any recent favourites you’d recommend to your followers, and how do you find time for reading in your packed schedule?

I love taking a moment to read! I usually try to get in some reading time at night before I go to bed to clear my mind from the business of the day I had! It helps me relax so much! My favorites have been The Actor Series and I recently read Icebreaker by Hannah Grace and that got me into the whole hockey romance world!

Your social media is filled with delicious and nutritious meals. Can you share a go-to recipe that’s both family-friendly and fitness-friendly, reflecting your passion for healthy living?

Yes! I LOVE quick and healthy meals that are yummy! I am always on the go so finding quick meals is my specialty! Right now, my go-to has been the pesto chicken from Trader Joes, on top of their microwaveable jasmine rice, topped with cut-up grape tomatoes and Nonna Pia’s balsamic glaze with a side of baked asparagus that has a little olive oil and pepper on it. It sounds more intricate than it is because all you have to do is grill the chicken for about 10 minutes while the asparagus is cooking in the oven for 10-15 on 425 and microwave the rice for 3 minutes! So quick but so good!

In addition to childhood cancer research, you’re involved in Women’s Shelter Donations and Breast Cancer Awareness. How do you use your platform to raise awareness for these causes, and why are they particularly important to you?

I think the biggest influence that you could ever have on anyone is the influence to do good, and that’s why it’s so important to me that people know how important it is to me to give to these causes. Childhood Cancer Research and Breast Cancer Awareness are particularly important to me because I have close family friends who have been affected by these and seeing what they must go through has been a huge reason why I am such an advocate for spreading awareness about it. I also love to give back to the Women’s Shelter multiple times a year because no women should have to go through what they are going through and a lot of times they can’t leave for safety reasons, and I think it’s so important for them to know they are loved no matter the situation they are in.

As a fitness enthusiast, what are your must-have items in your workout wardrobe, and how do you infuse your personal style into your activewear choices?

I think the biggest must-have item would be a pair of good workout shoes! I love my Hokas or APLs and my workouts. I love HITT and running and it’s hard to make it through those workouts with the wrong shoes! My signature is almost always a matching set. I am a matching set girl through and through so if you ever see me in my workout gear, I’m usually all one-color head to toe!

As a certified group fitness instructor, how do you keep your workouts fresh and engaging for your followers, and what is your favourite type of workout to do yourself?

I love to switch up the playlist I do for my classes every week to keep things fresh! The group fitness workouts I do are usually workouts choreographed to certain songs so people who keep coming back know that when a certain song is played which movements to do? It makes it super fun and the time goes by so quickly! I always try to keep things fresh by switching a couple of songs in the playlist every week, but never the full playlist so any new people that take the class can learn the songs everyone else might know! My all-time favourite workout is HITT! Half cardio half light weight training but running has become a close second as well!

Being a mother to 3-year-old Hudson is a significant part of your identity. How has motherhood influenced your approach to health, fitness, and philanthropy, and what lessons do you hope to pass on to your son?

Hudson quite literally influences everything I do. I want to be the best example I can be to him so there is no decision made where I don’t sit there and think “How will this impact him? Is this something I would want him to do?” He drives me every day to keep working hard and to do the best I can!

Courtney’s Holiday Rules

When it comes to your airport style, what key fashion pieces do you consider essential for effortlessly transitioning from a plane to a picturesque destination?

On long travel days where I know I must be photo-ready, I always have either a jacket, a trucker hat, or both! I think the more accessories you have make the casual travel outfit look stylized yet keep the pieces realistic to wear when travelling!

How do you infuse your personal style into your travel wardrobe, ensuring that every destination is not just an adventure but a fashion statement?

I always try to be cohesive to where I am going. So, if I am headed to the beach, I have a whole vision board that is beach-inspired and love to lay out all my outfits before heading off. It makes it so easy to get dressed each day and keeps my style showing through because I had envisioned all the looks beforehand.

As a seasoned traveller, what are your top packing tips for maintaining a chic and curated wardrobe?

My biggest tip is to bring a small travel steamer. I think the biggest thing to making sure your outfit really hits the mark is to make sure it’s nice and smooth!

What is your favourite hotel and where is your favourite travel destination?

My favourite hotel is right here in Utah! The Montage in Deer Valley is quite literally a Christmas cozy dream! However, my favourite travel destination would be Maui, Hawaii. I used to live there, and love going back and visiting when I can!

Travelling can be exhilarating yet exhausting. Share your go-to spa treatments.

My favourite spa treatment to do post and pre-travel I do is a hydro facial! It clears your skin of any travelling gunk and gives your skin so much hydration! Travelling can make your skin so dry and dirty, and it fixes all those problems. I always book an appointment before or after travel days at the Plastics Clinic in Utah.

From Tokyo to Paris, each city has its unique beauty trends. Can you share your favourite beauty beauty products?

My favourite beauty product would have to be either my at-home eyelash extensions from Wink Clique, my merit beauty conceal stick, my Benetint from Benefit Cosmetics, or my Ole Hendrickson lip peptide treatment. I couldn’t decide which I loved more because all together they are perfect haha

Where is your favourite shopping destination?

I love to go shopping in New York City. It’s so fun to walk a block to block and they have so many amazing designers there, but also have too many unique one-off Indi shops to really get something unique! The options are endless!

What is your favourite fragrance?

I switch back and forth between three! Two are similar and are very vanilla based and usually I mix those two! They would be the Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa 40 and the YSL black opium. I also love the Jo Malone in wood sage and tea salt for a cleaner fresh sent and always take that one on the go with me.

Travelling can take a toll on the skin. What are your must-have beauty products and skincare routines to keep you radiant and refreshed during your globetrotting adventures?

My favourite on-the-go skincare products would be the Hero Mighty patches because I always get a pimple or two went travelling and take them away the next day! And the Clarins double serum with the Ole Henrickson moisturizer! I always get dry when traveling and those two products keep my skin glowing all day!

Where are you off to next?

I am headed to Art Basel in Miami Florida! I have never been so excited to go this year!
