Lindsey Heppner’s Holiday Rules

Lindsey Heppner is a digital multi-entrepreneur, CEO, and founder of one of the most recognizable influencer agencies, VAMPPED, and the podcast REVAMPPED. Lindsey has become a mogul in the social media marketing world, completely changing how influencers and social media are perceived. Notably, she started the concept of ‘influencer tours’ that many companies have since integrated and quickly discovered a need in the market for managing the influencers at the same time as creating and producing campaigns for global brands.

With her busy schedule, Lindsey still finds time to enjoy a holiday or two. Retreat caught up with Lindsey to discuss her holiday favorites and travel must-haves.

Your favorite vacation destination?

I have been really blessed to have traveled to some really amazing places. I think right now the place that I would have to say is my forever home would be Italy. There is just something about the culture that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The food is impeccable and the people are my people, loud, passionate, honest, and overly animated. My favorite spot in Italy is Positano, you have the beach culture and you just never want to leave. The food is so fresh and every direction is breathtaking.

Most-loved hotel and why?

Hands down, Soori, Bali. The hotel is insane. The service is 11/10 and you feel like you’re on another planet. Its black sand beaches and the rooms open right up into a swimming pool. They have magical dinners right by the water and fire shows at night.

What do you love about travelling?

The only time where I do not want to rough it, lol. I have been to the highest level of hotels for work that it’s really hard to come back from that. I love being catered to when I’m on vacation. Yes, I will have a massage every day and yes I will have everything on the room service menu. No, I will not clean my room and you better believe I will be doing every activity the hotel has to offer.

Your beach read?

I usually have a self-help book always on hand. I think it’s super important for me to always be growing as a person and learning from others how to improve my skill sets.

3 packing essentials?

My dog. My pillow. My bikini.

Your packing advice?

Only pack what you honestly need. If you look at an outfit and say to yourself ” I might wear this…” don’t pack it. If you’re questioning at home, you will hands down not wear it when you’re away.

The one beauty product you can’t live without?

SPF concealer. I have melasma on my face so I like to def hide my splotches.

What beauty trend will you be rocking this season?

I am really feeling a lot of golden/bronzy tones for fall, I just colored my hair auburn so I’m getting really into the fall brown tones of eye color to match my hair.

How would you define your style?

I am a full-blown artsy, skater, tomboy.  I am always wearing baggy pants with a crop top and some sort of designer tennis shoe or straight-up Vans sneakers. I like to be comfortable and effortless but at the same time look like it took me all day to put my outfit together. I love really bulky pieces, like gold chains or belts to add. It’s a very rare occasion if you see me in a dress.

This season’s 3 wardrobe musts?

A black leather jacket, a cropped sweater, and a scrunch in every color.
