Should you find yourselves traveling in Japan on an adventure to visit the temple of the Shingon Monks in Koyasan, and in need of a place to rest your head, look no further than the Koyasan Guest House.  Many young travelers come from all over the world to see the see the mountain that is considered one of the most sacred in the world.  Here you will find the friendly guesthouse where the owner has an intimate local knowledge of the area having grown up in a Buddhist family.

The house, of simple design, is anything but.  It is an unique mix between modest Japanese capsule style hotels and college dormitory style.  White walls, lead to white rafters, and white bunks.  Keep wandering and you will find a sitting area with a wood burning stove opposite the bar.  Pilgrims of all types can come here to relax and learn about the Shingon sect of Buddhism that dates back 12 hundred years.
