Beauty Packing Guide

We’ve laid out a road map to help you successfully pack for each kind of travel destination.

Packing… one of those necessary tasks we all dread when getting ready for that much anticipated vacation. Whether you are a notorious over-packer or just need to edit out items that aren’t exactly needed (you just never know, right?!), now, with a little extra planning, you can strip out the excess and get on with your vacation with minimal baggage and plenty of room to pick up goodies along the way.

 
Destination: The City

Think simple, chic, layers. Pack items that you can mix and match to create a variety of outfits without having to overload on a bunch of pieces.

Destination: The Beach

Skip the heavy towels and swap in a sexy sarong. They’re lightweight, take up minimal space in your suitcase and multi-use: wear it as a wrap, lay it out as a towel for sunbathing, and use it as a towel to dry off after a dip in the pool.

Destination: Camping

You’re likely to be spending a lot of time out in the heat and sun, pack neutral colored clothes in lightweight fabrics and bring layers for the early mornings and evenings when the sun isn’t out and the air feels cooler.

Destination: Yoga Retreat

Your retreat location will most likely have spare yoga mats and mat wipes, but no one wants to be caught with their pants down (wink, wink), pack your own wipes and yoga mat. The mat fits easily in the overhead bins and flight attendants rarely count it as an extra carry on. As a last resort, it is ok to fold your mat.

One word – Sunscreen! Nothing ruins a vacation faster that a lobster red sunburn. So don’t skimp on leaving space for this. It might just be the most important thing you bring!
