With new episodes of “Trying to Figure it Out” dropping each Tuesday, you share the most genuine version of yourself and also invite guests to share diverse, interesting stories. How did you decide to start a podcast?

I started TTFIO with the goal of sharing my stories and creating a space for others who might relate to me. The podcast focuses on everything from mental health, to growing up in a split household, to friendships, relationships, sexuality, body positivity and other topics that we are all just ‘trying to figure out’. With solo episodes and guests, we dive into so many topics and aim to help anyone who might be going through something similar or who has gone through something similar.

I have been through a lot in my life from divorced parents, mental health struggles, abusive relationships, toxic friendships and more. I have always been open about my experiences. I never hold back when talking to friends or family and have been in therapy for years. After going through one of the hardest years of my life, I ended up leaving my job at the time and spending a few months trying to decide what would be next for me. In that time, I realized how much I wanted to do something with my experiences and share them.

I never thought I would become a podcaster. I never thought I would know what to talk about or how to interview people. The last year or so I have been through so much mentally, and it made me realize that I have so many stories about my life that if I shared, I could not only help myself heal but also help others. After realizing I wanted to tell my stories I decided to start Trying to Figure It Out.

You are very passionate about building yourself as a relatable and influential woman in the entertainment industry. What has inspired you to empower women?

I think that personal experiences I have had as a woman working in the entertainment industry have inspired me to speak up and use my voice to empower women. I also think my overall experiences in life have made me want to speak about my stories and hopefully help people feel less alone and more confident so that they can be their most authentic selves with no shame.

Your most recent guests are castmates from the wildly popular Netflix series “The Ultimatum”, Colby Kissinger, Madlyn Ballatori and April Marie. How do you choose your guests?

My process for choosing guests varies. I do a lot of outreach but mainly to people who have stories and are willing to be vulnerable and share them. In regards to the cast of “The Ultimatum,” I would say that was a crazy coincidence and we met on Cameo. Usually, I will email, DM my guests or get connected to them through friends.

Your philanthropic interest includes giving back to the homeless and mentally ill, as well as both adult and childhood cancer patients. Tell us why these issues are important to you.

It has always been important to me to give back. I grew up in the suburbs of New York and a big part of my school experience was volunteering to feed the homeless during the wintertime. Mental Health issues are important to me because not only is it extremely personal, but I think the stigma around mental health in our country is something that needs to change. I like to involve myself in different charities and I am always looking for more that I can do to help people.

You are also a huge advocate for pro-choice. How do you hope to share this message with your audience?

It is extremely important to maintain a woman’s right to choose and with everything happening right now in our country I find it extremely important to use my voice towards this subject. I hope to raise awareness regarding this subject on my podcast and hope to remain a voice for women.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

TTFIO and overcoming many mental health battles have been my biggest accomplishments thus far. This podcast is something that I have put so much work and time into and I am so proud of myself every day. I am proud that I set my mind to doing something and have made an impact on my audience, and I look forward to continuing to do so!

What’s next for you and what do you hope to achieve in the future?

Right now, what is next for me is focusing on my podcast and finishing our first season. After that, I want to spend time planning what season two will look like and continue content creating. I hope to continue broadening my audience and helping people!

Your packing advice?

Try to avoid overpacking (even though I have yet to master this). Always think of any items you won’t be able to get where you are and make sure you pack them.

Skincare tips when traveling?

When I travel, I use skincare products a lot. Traveling always dries out my skin, so moisturizer and sunscreen are typically the two most important things that I pack. I like to wear light makeup when I travel, so I pack more serums, face washes, and moisturizers. I add a light layer of tinted sunscreen and some blush then call it a day to keep my skin fresh and clean!

What is your airport style?

Sweatpants and a hoodie (matching), and a big blanket for any flight I take.

Do you have any beauty tips for flying?

Moisturizer before you take off, after you take off, and as soon as you land along with any sort of hydrating spray like rose water.

Where is next on your travel bucket list?

Southern France is number one on my list right now
