1. Sunset Beach, Oahu, HI

Well-known for big wave surfing in winter (the beach is home to the Vans Triple Crown), the water here becomes as calm as a lake in summer and is a great place for snorkeling. Guessing from its name, Sunset Beach has nice sunset views, especially in the summer months.

2. Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Island, Whitsunday Islands

A picture perfect paradise, this beach promises breathtaking views of the crystal clear waters as you take a stroll along the pristine silica sand.  Stretching over seven kilometers and boasting an impressive collection of awards, it’s easy to see why it has visitors from all over the world.

3. Praia Mole, Florianopolis, Brazil

Young, attractive surfers and paragliders make this one of the coolest beaches in all of Brazil. Near the attractive town of Florianopolis, this is also an excellent spot for people-watching with trendy beach bars, restaurants, and cafes.

4. Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda

The famous pink-hued sands of this beach isn’t one to be missed. True to its name, this beach is curved into the shape of a horseshoe. Equipped with cafes, shower facilities, rental shops and a lifeguard; this beach has everything you need. There’s always something going on, with regular events and weekly beach volley ball competitions in the summer months.

5. Matira Beach, Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Bora Bora is nicknamed “The Romantic Island” for many reasons and Matira Beach is a great example. Luscious views of magnificent palms frame from behind and are great for providing shade after a day of swimming, snorkeling and relaxing.

6. Hulopoe Beach, Lanai, Hawaii

Rich with marine life, this protected beach is one of the best spots on the island for swimming and snorkeling. Spinner dolphins can often be seen playing in the bay, while the winter months bring humpback whales. Sweetheart rock (Puu Pehe) is just a short hike away and is definitely worth a visit.

7. Wineglass Bay, Tasmania

Nestled on the Freycinet Peninsula, sapphire waters gently lap the dazzling white sands of this crescent haven. It’s easy to see why the bay is a honeymoon favourite and is considered to be one of the top 10 beaches in the world. With many different activities and lush scenery, it’s a perfect mixture of adventure and relaxation.

8. Anse Lazio, Praslin Island, Seychelles

Distinctive red-hued granite boulders frame this beach, giving this picturesque paradise a romantic feel. Clear, calm waters gently caress the pure white sands, making it the perfect place to relax or enjoy a swim. After a morning of adventure and serenity, nearby restaurants are open for lunch and refreshments.

9. Trunk Bay, St. John, US Virgin Islands

10. Playa Paraiso, Tulum, Mexico

Soak up the fantastic atmosphere of this beach. Take a dip in the turquoise waters, have a go at snorkeling and search for sea life or rent a sun lounger and soak up some Vitamin D. Make sure to visit one of the restaurants and sample some delicious Mexican cuisine.
