Lindsay Dawn’s Holiday Rules

Lindsay Dawn is a Canadian artist best known for her two primary styles of work. One is portraits, that use the face as the focal point, and secondly here depiction of the female body that she combines with abstract, and street art essences. She started painting figurative work in her early teens and had since explored many styles, which reflects in her current paintings as a fusion of her years of study and exploration.

Moving to America at the age of 19, Dawn took the first step to bring her dream of being a successful artist to life. She moved to Los Angeles and has since divided her time between LA and Miami with her only focus being creating using whatever medium feeds her soul the most at that given time and seeking inspiration from lovers, friends, and the world around her. Fast forward years later and Dawn’s work can be found in the collections of many people around the world. Over the years she has remained focused on creating pieces that allow her to fully express herself and her vision.

 

Where are you jetting off to next?
Hopefully Japan or Paris!

How will you spend your days?
Finding the best views, food and architecture. And taking as many
Polaroids as possible!

What’s in your carry on luggage?
An outfit change, sketchbook, my iPad, hairbrush, and Polaroid
camera.

Beauty essentials?
A good hair oil, moisturizer and lip gloss.

What do you like to read?
Interview Magazine never disappoints. And artist journal entries and
interviews from people that inspire me.

Best travel tip?
Pack a Polaroid camera, it’s the best way to capture the moment.

Favourite travel memory?
I went o Hawaii alone for 2 months. Iconic.

Your vacation style?
It depends on my mood and what kind of inspiration I’m seeking. Sometimes I need to relax and focus on introspection at a low traffic beach or the countryside. If I’m looking for something to enhance my creative
expression, I go somewhere I’ve never been before.

The one beauty product you can’t live without?
Mascara!

What beauty trend will you be rocking this season?
Thin eyebrows are making a come back and I’m definitely here for it!
Also, bright crisp eyeliner.

How would you define your style?
Eclectic, cozy, and maybe little bohemian-esque on some days.

This season’s 3 wardrobe musts?
Black trench coat, favourite jeans, and a worn-in vintage tee!

What swimwear trend is a must this season?
High thigh one-pieces!
